In the current society where there's considerably more tolerance of sex than previously, sex still has it dangers; sickness, undesired pregnancy and crimes of passion. Drugs have harm to one's psychological health, physical health dilemmas, incarceration and death from overdose as important drawbacks.Sex and drugs are still a few things which our authority figures alert us and rebellion is almost always directed at authority figures. Sex and drugs are not just exciting but possibly harmful pastimes but unlike skiing and bungee-jumping, they're also acts of rebellion and phrases of individuality.A very long time ago while in the famous land called 'The Sixties', peace and love were the acts of rebellion. How could peace and love probably be viewed acts of rebellion? We, as a society, were a war-like people. Our grandfathers had fought the 'War To End All Wars', good name but lousy war. Our fathers saved the world by winning World War Two, the worst called war EVER! It's only requesting some Sort Of War Three, we do everything in threes, and when we entered Vietnam the Korean Conflict, whatever that was, was still fresh. For the youth of the 1960s it was love and peace that were the war, dislike, intolerance and ideas were the norm.Throughout all the changes like a form of rebellion was Rock and Roll the one constant that remained. Even as a form of rebellion against rock and roll itself as when Punk Rock reported Classic Rock bands, Dinosaurs, and the music of the last era dead.It is unfortunate that the first motto; peace, love and rock and roll continues to be dropped to the ages and regarded anachronistic by individuals who might still recall. It was that relationship of the music for the concepts of peace and love that gave it its unique energy. Sex and drugs may shocking to the others and be fun to some however they ultimately lack power and the capability to stimulate that peace and love have. It was that association that served the music survive so long as it has and hopefully the music will one-day be utilized where they truly belong to restore the some ideas of love and peace to our collective consciousness. | |
