Fresh Grounds, Inc. Perkerson House Transitional Housing Program is a Atlanta-based 501c3 organization which provides transitional housing to individuals who are living with a mental illness, substance abuse issues or who have been incarcerated and are integrating back into society. We are committed to establishing supportive networking with service providers that are committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities that are affected by mental illness and substance abuse, which is directly associated with homelessness. We are committed to empowering individuals in efforts to develop life coping skills to build self-confidence and to promote healthy behavioral management.

OUR MISSION

Fresh Grounds Inc. is an Atlanta -based nonprofit agency that is focused on providing transitional housing services for the mentally challenged, substance abusers, homeless, and ex-offenders by using holistic and spiritual approaches to elevate their clients' self-esteem; values, life skills, and re-entry to the community. With the assistance of the individual being involved in the transitioning process, managing their lives becomes more realistic and achieving permanent or supported housing becomes a reachable goal. Additionally, Perkerson House views achieving independent living as a process. It is our goal to provide education and resources within the community to assist in understanding addiction, mental health and behaviors which leads to homelessness and incarceration, in order to progress toward positive constructive behavior and acquiring life management skills.
