The owner of S.W.A.P.O.S. Publications and Poetic Expressions is an animal lover and is excited to address the many issues that surround all animal lovers and their beloved pets in this greeting card line. Pets have become a part of more than 50% of all households in America, that’s more than 150 million pet owners in this great nation. To say that we love our pets would be a bit of an understatement; in fact dogs have even become a part of the American work force in some cases. They do a number of jobs that we humans just can’t do, which means we actually depend on our furry friends with paws and claws. The history of dogs and cats go back many years and somehow they have always had a place in society. For instance with programs that train dogs to assist the visually impaired members of communities all over the world. One of the most publically and controversial roles dogs play in our society is in law enforcement. They play a critical part in police departments all over the country in the detection of drugs, explosives, weapons and even in the apprehending of wanted fugitives. There are even dogs that help safeguard the President of the United States of America and also play their part in keeping U.S. soil safe from being preyed on by any who would desire to do her harm. Did we mention the military and the many jobs they perform for the safety of U.S. troops in the many parts of the world that they may be deployed in? Dogs have even found their way into entertainment in this country, T.V. shows, and sporting events and even in our informative news programs. Cats have to be the smartest and cutest addition to the domesticated animal realm in the opinion of most cat lovers. Because of their predator verses prey like roles of helping to keep small rodents from entering the homes of cat lovers. We can’t forget how independent they are, yet this is perfectly balanced with their desire for human attention which makes them perfect companions for some. They provide both excitement and complete Zen and this of course is based on your little purring friend’s personality. For all the smiles they bring and loyalty they provide, to give them their own line was our pleasure.
