Kill Your Cellular Phone

I after saw a sticker at my graduate school that study "Kill Your Tv!" I loved this notion and the message it was presenting. Despite the fact that I didn't kill my Tv, it did make me think about just how much of my time is spent in front of a screen and considerable cut back. I now possess a new sticker I would like to make "Kill Your Cell phone!"

This sentiment has been a extended time coming but was accentuated last week. As I talked about in my post about the Kip Moore Concert I not too long ago had a superb concert knowledge in the El Rey Theater.

I also alluded in that post that some people had been less than desirable to become standing subsequent to for three hours. During the concert I had two beers poured on me, two elbows towards the head, and two extremely drunk very idiotic males ask me out while shoving me to move closer for the stage.

I was actually bothered by this behavior and I almost let it ruin my evening. I reminded myself why I was there and focused on enjoying my evening. I then just enjoyed my evening till extra beer was spilled on me or I was becoming pushed again. It was a continuous battle to be inside the moment enjoying my life and not focus around the knuckleheads around me. One particular girl was nice and asked me to move. So I did. Then she stood in front of me and did this all night

The other substantial distraction for me were all the persons with their cell phones. We are living inside the age of cell phones my mates! Everywhere you look individuals are taking 124332y53982 photographs of themselves (yes I know there's a y in that number, it makes it seem even larger).

At the concert the couple of rows of people today ahead of me have been camera crazy. I tried to take a couple pictures to document the evening for the weblog and my memory and most of them possess the artist with tons of camera phones in the image.

It was quick for me to get grumpy and fixate on how rude these people today had been. I seriously wanted them to just place their phones away for any handful of minutes and just watch the show. God has blessed us with memories and that is definitely quite wonderful! Naturally I took a number of photographs and yes it is nice to possess an image to make other people today really feel jealous that they missed an excellent show. But if your entire life is spent video taping what's happening, posting it on Facebook and sending snapchats to other people, you likely wish to reevaluate a couple of points.

It reminds me of a picture the Currently Show posted when the new pope was named final month. The posted a picture from 2005 when a brand new pope was named then and 2013. Clearly, our society has come to be electronic. Folks the news will capture the events of the day with great cameras and you can Google it later. Why not only take pleasure in the moment whilst you will be there and watch it along with your eyes, not your screens.

I'm willing to admit that there is a little bit of irony right here. I likely blocked the views with the folks behind me by taking a couple pictures of Kip plus the persons taking pictures. I as well could learn just a little far more by putting the telephone down and enjoying the moment I'm in.
